Graphic design is not only about aesthetics but also involves use of materials, inks, solvents, printing, manufacturing, packaging, storage and transportation that may have environmental impacts and adherence to workplace safety standards.
Therefore designers must give thoughtful consideration to all aspects of the “Cradle to Grave” life span. This course will prepare students to make informed eco friendly decisions bringing Graphic Design into a new eco friendly age. Responding effectively to broad and specific safety requirements, students will work to assess, manage and ensure safety in a variety of environments, including workshops, studios, offices or field locations.
