Kerrin Carlson








Title: Lecturer & Course Coordinator (Business)
Qualifications: Ass. Diploma in Applied Science (Recreation Servicing), Diploma of Business, Cert IV in Frontline Management, Cert IV TAE

Profile: After graduating from the University of New South Wales, Kerrin Carlson began her career with Morgan & Banks as the NSW Training Coordinator. Kerrin returned to Queensland where she worked as the Training Manager for Clive Anthony’s electrical stores. In 2006, Kerrin started her own consulting business in training and business strategy services, delivering to a range of clients across various industries.
This consulting led to a full time role in 2013 with one of her clients, where she took on the role as National Sales and Training Manager. Having been exposed to continuous learning, both on the job and during online business studies, Kerrin joins the Virtu team with motivation to apply her knowledge and skills to the Virtu staff and student experience.

Qualifications: Diploma Leadership & Management, Advanced Diploma Management, Diploma Quality Auditing, Advanced Diploma Human Resource Management, Cert IV TAE, Cert IV Employment Services

Profile: With over a decade of experience in Management roles, working with Employment Providers, primarily managing teams to achieve and maintain peak performance whilst aligning their practices alongside the Department’s guidelines. Kate has a proven track record of producing high standards across several Government programs, ensuring that good practice strategies are embedded in daily the day to day work environment.
Her passion and dedication is to train and mentor both managers and teams to deliver services and produce quantifiable improvement in performance.

Kate has the intimate working knowledge, to assist managers and teams address the daily challenges of delivering outcomes. In her current role, teaching Leadership & Management, her priority is to ensure outcomes are achieved through supporting each and every student to achieve their maximum potential.
